ENOC partners with Thomson Reuters

Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) signed an agreement with Thomson Reuters to develop an eLearning suite training programme on ethics and compliance for its staff to strengthen their ability to engage with real-life scenarios of ethical best practices within the highly regulated oil & gas industry.

The agreement was signed at ENOC headquarters in the presence of H.E Saif Humaid Al Falasi, CEO of ENOC Group and Nadim Najjar, Managing Director Middle East & North Africa – Thomson Reuters.

The eLearning programmes will allow ENOC to deliver a ‘Conflicts of Interest’ video; a Fraud Awareness course, and a game-based course which will showcase several scenarios to educate staff on how best to manage ethical situations with references from ENOC’s Code of Business Conduct. Training on other emerging ethical topics will also be introduced as part of the eLearning suite.

H.E Saif Humaid Al Falasi, CEO of ENOC Group, commented on the new announcement: “Our collaboration with Thomson Reuters will have a positive impact on our valued team members. The combined efforts of ENOC’s Group Business Ethics and Compliance and Human Resources focus on fostering talent, allowing them to acquire, develop and retain skills-sets and behaviours to help fulfil individual career goals and organisational business objectives, while maintaining highest standards of ethical business practices.”

Nadim Najjar, Managing Director, Middle East and North Africa, Thomson Reuters, added: “The use of online training and ‘Game’ based technology as part of a compliance programme is becoming more prominent within the MENA region. We are happy to partner with ENOC to deliver professional Ethics and Compliance courses for the development of staff at all levels. We believe that learning is an evolving process and a key driver of any company’s growth. The new programme focuses on strengthening the employees’ ability to engage with a scenario and make the right decision, building a strong understanding of ethical best practice within a highly regulated world.”
