Malaysia to set up joint working group and carry out MoUs inked with Kazakhstan

The Malaysian Energy, Green Technology and Water Ministry will be proposing the formation of a joint working group to operationalise the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed during Expo 2017 in Astana, Kazakhstan.

Its minister, Datuk Seri Maximus Johnity Ongkili said Malaysia and Kazakhstan could now begin meeting at regular intervals to monitor the progress of cooperation activities under the MoU.

“Malaysia inked 14 MoUs during Astana’s Expo 2017 that ranged from the fields of green technology, biotechnology, nanotechnology, medical, education, start-ups, recycling, green financing, oil and gas, tourism, construction, infrastructure to water treatment.

“And our greatest task now is to realise them,” he said in his speech during the Malaysia Pavilion Expo 2017 Appreciation Dinner here.
