Inox to supply ultrahigh purity nitrogen to ReNew

Inox Air Products, India’s industrial, electronic and specialty gases manufacturing company, has signed a long-term agreement with ReNew Photovoltaics Private Limited. Under this agreement, Inox will supply ultra-high purity (UHP) nitrogen to ReNew’s upcoming Topcon Solar Cell manufacturing facility at Dholera, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Inox will also invest in the construction of a Air Separation Unit (ASU) in Dholera to ensure the supply of UHP Nitrogen.

The ASU, expected to become fully operational by the end of next year, will be set-up to meet the tailored stringent purity and consistency requirement for the manufacturing of solar cells, Inox says.

ReNew’s Dholera facility represents a critical step in strengthening India’s solar manufacturing capabilities; one more step towards transforming India into a global centre for manufacturing of aolar PV Cells with the latest Topcon technology.

Inox already supplies key electronic gases such as nitrous oxide, ammonia, and silane to ReNew’s existing cell manufacturing plant based on the PERC technology, through a robust supply chain, strengthened by the deployment of owned ISO containers and tube trailers, since 2024.
