US Geothermal Inc posts net profit of USD 1.22 million for first half of 2015

US Geothermal Inc on Tuesday announces a net profit of USD 1.22 million (EUR 1.1m) for the first half of 2015.

This is nearly unchanged from the USD-1.24-million net result a year ago.

The company operates 45 MW of capacity in Oregon, Nevada and Idaho. It has several projects in progress at home and in Guatemala and a 200-MW capacity target for 2020.

The first-half results and full-year forecast by US Geothermal are in the table.

US Geothermal’s three operating plants generated 168,874 MWh in the reporting period, down 2.5% year-on-year due to warm temperatures.

At the end of June, the company had cash and cash equivalents of USD 12.8 million and total assets of USD 230.8 million.
