Iraq plans to slash southern oil exports

Iraq plans to reduce crude oil exports from its southern ports in April to 2.4 million barrels per day (bpd), down from 2.65 million bpd in March, trade sources said on Wednesday.

The reduction would make exports more manageable for the second-largest OPEC producer, an Asian crude buyer said.

Export volumes from the south fell to 2.293 million bpd in February, hit by bad weather.

Iraq is also reviewing its oil production agreements with international firms after prices fell.
